Law Admission Test (LAT)

The Law Admission Test (LAT) is a mandatory examination for applicants seeking admission to a five-year undergraduate LLB Degree Program in law colleges and universities across Pakistan. It is conducted by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) to assess the aptitude and suitability of candidates for the legal profession.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Students who have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or equivalent.
  • Students who have appeared in the final examination of HSSC or equivalent and are awaiting results.

Test Pattern & Syllabus

  • Essay: 15 Marks (Either in English or Urdu)
  • Personal Statement: 10 Marks (Either in English or Urdu)
  • English MCQs: 20 Marks (Synonyms, Antonyms, Prepositions)
  • General Knowledge MCQs: 20 Marks
  • Islamic Studies MCQs: 10 Marks
  • Pakistan Studies MCQs: 10 Marks
  • Urdu MCQs: 10 Marks
  • Math MCQs: 5 Marks (Basic Math)
