Law Graduate Assessment Test (Law-GAT)
The Law Graduate Assessment Test (Law-GAT) is a mandatory requirement for any law graduate who wishes to enroll as an Advocate with a Bar Council in Pakistan. This test is conducted by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) to ensure that only individuals with the requisite knowledge and competence are permitted to practice law.
Eligibility Criteria
- Individuals who have successfully completed a Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a university recognized by the HEC and Pakistan Bar Council.
Test Pattern & Syllabus
- Constitution of Pakistan: 20 Marks
- Jurisprudence (English & Islamic): 20 Marks
- Civil Procedure Code: 20 Marks
- Criminal Law: 20 Marks
- Law of Evidence: 20 Marks
- Professional Ethics: 10 Marks
